Hi Dionna:

I adjusted the title of this thread a little to give more of a definite direction to the topic, along with the answer I'm about to give.

As you know, Jesus Christ is in heaven sitting upon God's Throne, ruling. Jesus is a Conquering Son of God, on a permanent basis. (Romans 1:4; Revelation 3:21) And because of this, he has been ruling actually, ever since the first century. So he didn't just start to rule, as of the year of 1914, as the Watchtower teaches. This is incorrect.

Since the first century, Jesus has been in charge of all things...all things in heaven and on earth. The forming of the first century congregation at Pentecost has all been done under Jesus' direction. And so we can say, all things done upon earth, are all under the watchful eye of Jesus Christ as God's Appointed Ruler, right down to our day, including the pivotal event for God's Name People in 1931, when they took the name of God upon themselves and became modern-day Israel. -- Matthew 28:18; Revelation 1:5

Also we remember, the bible teaches us in the near future Jesus will lead God's executional armies of angels to defeat Satan's demons, remove all human governments that oppose Jehovah's Righteous Rule upon earth, and later resurrect from the dead all those who live in God's memory for future life upon a paradise earth. Also, those who have not had a chance to learn of Jehovah's Glorious Purposes, also will be resurrected back to human life upon earth. (Acts 24:15) These are the things we were taught at the kingdom hall and they are correct. So as always, Jesus figures very big within God's Purposes for mankind and continued human life upon earth. No question, Jesus is still the major player in this whole drama. However, there is still one major aspect that has not been considered by mankind, as it relates to the "Sacred Secret" of God, as mentioned at Revelation 10:7.

Actually, this question of the Sacred Secret of God and Jesus' role in it, can best be addressed when you get over to "Living Waters" under the "Sacred Secret of God" Forum. We have a special place where we get into the details of this question. Suffice it to say for now, the promised [human] "Seed" of God and his coming had to do with a challenge made by Satan in the Garden of Eden, and Jehovah's quick response to it. -- Genesis 3:15; 22:18

Simply put, Jehovah told Satan that He could produce a "Seed" from an imperfect woman, Eve. This statement from Jehovah astounded Satan, and all the angels, because everyone knew Adam and Eve were imperfect, sinners and could only produce offspring like themselves, sinner descendants.

Now, your question asks where does Jesus fit into the coming events. Jehovah purposed to use Jesus to redeem mankind from sin...so that one among their number could "conquer" Satan and prove mankind deserved a chance or a right to human life upon earth. So, Jehovah purposed to use the blood of Jesus, to wash away the stain of sin from a particular descendant of mankind, the one we call the "Seed" of Eve, and that one would have to become a christian follower of Jesus during a time of national apostasy for the nation of Israel, follow Jesus' example very closely for a sufficient amount of time to be said to become a Christian Conqueror of Satan, and a permanent "Son of God" in our modern day times. -- See Romans 1:4; Revelation 21:7.

This is what the bible refers to a the triumphant ride of the "White Horse," shown in Revelation 6th chapter...the first Sealed Event mentioned there.

Of course, there is a lot that can be said on this topic. There are many things to be considered as this is a very big subject to cover in a few lines of type. So, I know you will have still many questions even after I post this info to you. So when we get over to "living waters," then we can get into this thought with a little more depth.

take care,

DB
